The country’s first AI-powered phygital (a combination of physical and digital) banking branch of Slice Small Finance Bank was launched in Guwahati, Assam on Saturday. Here AI-enabled self-service kiosks, paperless cash deposit and withdrawal facilities will be available. Customers will also be able to avail loan directly through UPI interface without any separate application. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated this branch. The bank says that this model will make services like loans, savings and payments easier for small businessmen and customers with limited banking access.
