India tied up with Russia for five units S-400 missile system in 2018.
India can buy and S-400 missile defense system from Russia. According to the source, the deal may be held on the deal at the time of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India in December.
This is the same defense system that failed by killing the drone and missile attacks by Pakistan in the air after Operation Sindoor.
India signed a $ 5 billion agreement with Russia in October 2018, under which five units S-400 air defense missile systems were to be purchased.
At that time, the US had warned that it could ban India under the CAATSA law on advancing this deal. So far, three squadrons have been delivered.
India is also considering buying the S-500 missile system. Both S-400 and S-500 are modern missile systems. It is used to avoid air defense and enemy aerial attacks.
