Jeff Hardy will miss TNA Wrestling’s upcoming Canadian dates, and his past legal issues are reportedly what keeps him from entering the country. Fightful Select reports that the promotion has planned for Hardy to be absent from its November schedule, which includes Destination X in Edmonton and two television tapings in Calgary. He’s also dealing with a neck problem, so the time away gives him a chance to recover. TNA wrote Hardy off television on the October 29 episode of iMPACT!, where he and Matt lost to syX in a Slaughterhouse match. Matt is still being advertised for the shows.
Jeff Hardy’s past legal issues reportedly prevent him from joining TNA in Canada
Fightful Select says Hardy’s previous legal issues have left him unable to enter Canada. His past DUI cases have hurt his travel for wrestling work before, and TNA has planned around his absence for the upcoming dates. He missed TNA’s August tapings in Brampton, Ontario too, for the same reason.
TNA will hold Destination X in Edmonton and then move to Calgary for iMPACT! tapings on November 18 and 19. Matt Hardy is still expected on the Canadian shows, while Jeff’s absence already got addressed on television.
The October 29 match against Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw, known as syX, was the one used to write Jeff off TNA programming. Promotion can still feature him through pre-recorded segments while the roster is in Canada.
Jeff Hardy is also managing a neck injury as TNA eyes a December return
Jeff has two bulging discs in his neck, according to Fightful Select. The problem has reportedly bothered him since October 2025. Matt talked about it on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast and suggested his brother could take time away to focus on recovery.
“It’s gonna be interesting to see what my next character is, especially if Jeff takes a little time off to try and work on his neck a little bit. That may be happening, I guess we’ll see,” Matt said.
TNA sources told Fightful that surgery is not expected at this stage. One source called the mix of Hardy’s travel restriction and neck problem a “perfect storm,” since the Canadian schedule gives him time away from the ring to recover.
Hardy is expected back for TNA’s December tapings in Texas, but an exact return date hasn’t been confirmed. He’s also still scheduled to appear at WrestleCade and on Chris Jericho’s Rock N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea while he’s away from the Canadian shows.
