Toxic makers accused of removing negative rating
KGF star Yash’s film Toxic is continuously getting negative reviews from the audience. The film has received very disappointing ratings on social media and other websites. Meanwhile, now the makers of the film are being accused of removing the rating of the film from Book My Show.
The rating of every released movie is usually shown on Book My Show. Till some time ago the film Toxic got a 5.5 rating on Book My Show, but now this rating has been removed. Instead, only likes are visible on the website. While the ratings of other films still exist.

Social media users claimed that the rating was removed after receiving bad reviews from viewers. However, no information has been given by the producers of Book My Show or the film regarding the removal of rating.
“Book My Show stopped rating Toxic movie. It was so bad that it got 5.5/10, worst in the history of BMS,” one
Earn Rs 100 crore in a day, then why fear of flop?
The film Toxic was released on 26 August. According to industry tracker website Sacknilk, the film has collected Rs 101 crore in India on the first day itself. But despite this, the film is being predicted to flop. The reason is the hype of the film and now the negative reviews coming. On the first day, the film got 24579 shows, whose occupancy was 57%. Despite it being a weekday, the audience came to watch the film in large numbers, but by afternoon the negative reviews of the film became the talk of the town.
One reason for the criticism of the film was that for the last few months, the makers were continuously talking about making it on a bigger scale and with a bigger budget, due to which there were more expectations from the film.
Know why Toxic could not live up to expectations
3 years and 500-1000 crore budget- The film began production in 2023 and was released 3 years later in 2026. The film was made with a huge budget of Rs 500-1000 crore, making it one of the most expensive films in the country. Obviously, with this big budget, the audience expected excellent visuals and story, which the film did not live up to.

Postpone again and again- The film was initially scheduled to be released on April 10, 2025, however, the makers postponed it saying that it needed to be made visually better. After some time it was scheduled for 19 March 2026, the day Dhurandhar 2 was released. The makers postponed it just before the release citing the Middle East War. After this the film was scheduled for 4 June 2026 and then later for 26 August.
Due to repeated postponements, there was excitement among the fans about it, but when the film came, there was no special story or visual effects in it, citing which the film was postponed again and again.
Casting is strong, but characters have no impact. The casting of this film was in discussion for a long time. One of Bollywood’s top actresses Kiara Advani was cast in the film along with Kannada star Yash. This was Kiara’s comeback film after motherhood. He had recently released Don 3, the third film of Don, one of the biggest franchises of Bollywood. Fans were hopeful that if Kiara chose Toxic for her comeback after leaving Don 3, then her character would be strong in it, but after watching the film, everyone was disappointed. Kiara’s character has been given less screentime, her character does not leave any impact in the film. Had there been any other actress in her place, it would not have made a big difference.

Abundance of female star cast- The film stars South superstar Nayanthara, Bollywood star Kiara Advani, trending actress Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth. It can be said that there are three big Bollywood actresses in the film and one South actress, but all these characters do not have their own story. All these characters are seen around the character of lead actor Yash. This casting seems like just adding big names to the film.
There were expectations from the National Award winning director- The film has been directed by National Award winner Geetu Mohandas. In 2013, his film Liar’s Dice received the National Award, while it was India’s official film sent for Oscar. In such a situation, there were expectations from his film.
