Actress Jhanvi Kapoor has reacted strongly to the murder of Hindu youth Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh, calling it genocide. Jhanvi stressed that extremism in any form should be strongly opposed.

On December 25, Jhanvi posted a note in her Instagram story with the title Dipu Chandra Das. He wrote- ‘What is happening in Bangladesh is barbaric. This is genocide and it is not an isolated incident.

If you don’t know about this inhumane public lynching, read about it, watch videos, ask questions, and if all this doesn’t make you angry, it is exactly this kind of hypocrisy that will destroy us before we know it.’

She further writes – ‘We will keep crying about things happening on the other side of the world, while our own brothers and sisters will be burnt alive.’ It is important to condemn and criticize extremism in whatever form it exists, before we forget our humanity.

Many more celebs reacted to the lynching incident

Apart from Jhanvi, many other Bollywood celebs have condemned this lynching. Actress and former MP Jaya Prada said through a video that she was heartbroken by the brutality with which Das was murdered. He called this murder an attack on Hindu religion and questioned the silence on it.

Hera Pheri fame actor Manoj Joshi said- ‘Whenever something happens in Gaza or Palestine, everyone comes forward. But when a Hindu is murdered in Bangladesh, it is very sad that no one comes forward. Time will give its answer.

Singer Tony Kakkar has made a direct reference to the lynching of Das in the new song ‘Chaar Log’ and has called upon people to give up religious discrimination.

Actress Kajal Aggarwal has also expressed anger over this incident. He shared a poster named ‘All eyes on Bangladesh Hindu’ in his Instagram story.

Mob murdered and burnt him on charges of blasphemy

Let us tell you that on December 18, Hindu youth Dipu Chandra Das was murdered by a mob near Dhaka. Later he was burnt by hanging him on a tree.

Dipu used to work in textile company Pioneer Knitwears in Bhaluka of Mymensingh district. Sources say that a rumor spread in the factory that Deepu had committed blasphemy. This news reached outside the factory also. By around 9 pm a crowd gathered outside the factory.

The crowd entered and dragged Deepu away. Started beating him with kicks, punches and sticks. Tore his clothes. During this time, Deepu died, so a rope was tied around his neck and his dead body was hanged from a tree on the roadside. Then they set it on fire.
