Even before this, ED had raided many places in Kerala and seized 36 suspicious vehicles. Dulquer Salmaan’s Land Rover Defender was also included in these. Against this action, Dulquer Salmaan had filed a petition in the Kerala High Court to get the car back, in which he clarified that the luxury car bought by him was not illegal. And he has all the documents. On this, the court reprimanded the customs team and ordered to return the car temporarily.

What is the whole matter?

Operation Numkhor was launched by the Directorate of Customs and Revenue Intelligence. Investigation revealed that many luxury cars are being imported into India from Bhutan. Scams like tax evasion and custom tax evasion are taking place due to illegal import of vehicles.
