The bridge over the Indrayani River at the Kundmala Tourist Spot in Pune is broken. This spot is 30 km from Pune.
The bridge over the Indrayani river collapsed at 3:30 pm on Sunday near Kundamala village of Mawal tehsil of Pune district of Maharashtra. According to officials present at the scene, 4 people died and 18 were injured in the accident. NDRF teams rescued 41 people. Some people are still missing.
Earlier, MLA Sunil Shelke, who reached the spot after the accident, claimed that 6 people had died. However, CM Devendra Fadnavis and DCP of Pune Zone 2 have confirmed the death of 2 people. 2 people died during treatment at the hospital.
It is being told that this accident happened when many people were standing to see the strong current of the river.
