Oli government had released the controversial map 5 years ago

Nepal released this revised map for the first time in 2020, which was later approved by the Parliament. Even at that time, India had opposed this step of Nepal and called it a unilateral decision. India had said that attempts to increase the area by changing the map in this way would not be valid.

India had also said at that time that this is a one-sided and fabricated claim, which does not change the ground reality. India had clearly said that these three areas belong to it and Nepal’s expansionism will not be accepted.
