‘सैयारा के कारण नहीं चली फिल्म तन्वी द ग्रेट’: अनुपम खेर बोले- फिल्म के न चलने से मैं डिप्रेस हो गया, दुख हुआ

Both ‘Saira’ and Tanvi The Great films were released on 18 July 2025.

Actor Anupam Kher recently said that his film ‘Tanvi the Great’ could not run at the box office due to ‘Saira’. He said that he was saddened by not running the film.

In a conversation with the Indian Express, he said, “I wrote and directed the film, but it was released on the same day when Yash Raj’s ‘Syara’ came and my film was completely suppressed. This made me depressed. I was very sad. I was not only sad for myself, but also for the new girl I took from my acting school. Also about 200 people worked on this.”

Anupam Kher also said that ‘Tanvi the Great’ has also had trouble releasing in theaters.

He said, “Financer ran away a month before its release. The film was expensive. Then I called friends like a doctor, lawyer. We gave the money. We did it at the World Premier Can Film Festival. Showed in New York where Robert de Niro saw the film till the interval and said that we also showed the film President.”

Anupam Kher and Ion Glenn have played important roles in ‘Tanvi the Great’. At the same time, Shubhangi Dutt played Tanvi.

Anupam further said, “Everything was fine, but the audience wanted to see the love story. The system here did not come. Even if you release in 400 theater, but if the second film becomes a hit then your film is removed. This failure was going to break a lot for me.”

When asked which hit film surprised the most, he said, “Saira. Probably Aditya Chopra must have been surprised.
