Punjab’s famous singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh shared his feelings related to Diwali. He said that it used to be his favorite festival, but after being separated from his family, he stopped celebrating Diwali.

Diljit told that in his childhood, preparations for Diwali started a month in advance. His house, village and streets were shining with lights. He used to burst crackers, decorate houses and light lamps at Gurudwara, Shiv Temple, Dargah and Guga Peer place in Dosanjh Kalan of his village Jalandhar. The festival started at four in the evening and the celebrations continued till late night.
He said that when he was with his family, Diwali was the brightest day of his life. But with time when he got separated from the family, he felt an emptiness from within and since then he stopped celebrating Diwali. Now the sound of firecrackers has started scaring them.
