Lakshya Sen joined Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy, Bengaluru in 2010, where professional training gave new impetus to his game. He became junior world No. 1 in 2017 and 2019 was his most successful year, when he won several international titles. He came into national limelight by winning gold in the Commonwealth Games in 2022.
