Cristiano Ronaldo’s Sister Meets Keralam CM, Promises To Deliver Special Message To Portugal Star

Keralam Chief Minister VD Satheesan took to X on Wednesday (September 2) to share a clip of his recent interaction with football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister, Elma Aveiro, who is currently in the state. In a post, Satheesan said that he informed Aveiro about the boundless passion and love Malayalis have for football and for the legendary Portuguese footballer.

He also revealed that Ronaldo’s sister promised to convey the warm wishes and affection of Kerala’s football fans to the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

“Had a warm interaction with @Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister, Elma Aveiro, during her visit to Keralam. Shared with her the boundless passion and love Malayalis have for football and for Cristiano. She graciously promised to convey the warm wishes and affection of Keralam’s football fans to him. #CR7 #Football #Keralam,” VD Satheesan wrote on X.

Ronaldo is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time. Although he has never visited India, he has a massive fan following in the country for more than two decades.

The 41-year-old footballer last represented Portugal at the FIFA World Cup 2026 but failed to make a significant impact. He featured in all five matches for the 2016 European champions and scored three goals, but Portugal failed to qualify for the quarterfinals. They suffered a 0-1 defeat to eventual champions Spain in their Round of 16 clash.

Ronaldo is the only footballer to have scored in six different editions of the FIFA World Cup and is also the oldest player to score in a World Cup knockout match.

At club level, Ronaldo represents Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League and has scored 131 goals in 151 matches for the club across all competitions. He has previously played for Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.

Ronaldo is Real Madrid’s all-time leading goalscorer and a five-time Ballon d’Or winner. He has also won the UEFA Champions League five times during his illustrious career and is widely considered one of the greatest footballers in the history of the sport.
