According to IMD Chief Mrityunjay Mahapatra, most parts of the country are expected to receive 15% more rainfall than normal during the post monsoon (October to December), except in some areas of northwest India, where the rain may be less than normal or normal.

In addition, in Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Kerala and South Interior Karnataka, post monsoon may also receive more than normal rainfall.
