Pre-monsoon rains are occurring in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi of the country. Despite this, the temperature in 8 states including UP-Rajasthan is beyond 40°C.

A child died after a tree fell due to the storm in Amritsar, Punjab. Heavy rain occurred in many areas of Bikaner, Jaipur and Kota divisions of Rajasthan on Monday. Hail also fell along with rain in Sriganganagar district.

Monsoon late in North India, will reach in July

The monsoon, which was stuck on the Chhattisgarh border for 15 days, has advanced on Monday. It has entered the state on the way to Dantewada. Reached Alibaug, 20 km from Mumbai on the west coast. Entry into Mumbai is possible in the next 24 to 48 hours. Monsoon has also advanced in some districts of Maharashtra, Telangana, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar.

Effect of heat in 8 states, mercury crosses 40°C

The mercury remained above 40°C in many cities of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Telangana on Wednesday. The highest mercury in the country was recorded at 43.3°C in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Whereas it was 43°C in Wardha of Maharashtra, 41.4°C in Banda of UP, 41.3°C in Adilabad of Telangana, 41°C in Gandhinagar of Gujarat, 40.6°C in Khajuraho of MP, 40.2°C in Boudh of Odisha and 40°C in Rajnandgaon of Chhattisgarh.

  • There will be heat wave in Vidarbha of Maharashtra including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, nights will also be hot in 8 districts of Vidarbha.
  • There may be thunderstorms and rains due to active pre-monsoon in Rajasthan, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana.

June 25:
