US President Donald has not been able to pass the funding bill from the Senate. Voting took place late on Tuesday night. 55 votes were cast in support of the bill and 45 votes in protest.
It required 60 votes to pass it, for which Trump’s Republican Party needed the support of opposition Democrats MPs. However, Democrats voted against the bill.
Due to lack of bill near the bill, a shutdown will start in America from 10 o’clock today. This will stagnate government work. The danger of forcibly sending 9 lakh employees on leave has increased. Trump has threatened to expel government employees.
During the voting on the funding bill in the Senate, there was a fierce debate between Republican and Democrat MPs.
Could not agree on health care program
Obama was stunned by both major parties of America, Democrat and Republican with the Health Care subsidy program. Democrats wanted to increase the subsidy of health care (health insurance).
Republican feared that if the subsidy was increased, the government would need more money to spend, which would affect the rest of the government work.
To stop the shutdown, President Trump and Democratic leaders held a meeting at the White House on Monday but did not result in any result.

Spending season starts from October 1 in America
America’s fiscal year i.e. the year of spending starts from October 1. This is a kind of economic year of the government, in which it plans to spend its money and make a budget.
During this time the government decides where to invest money, such as in army, health or education. If the new budget does not pass till this date, then the government work stops.
What will affect America with shutdown?
After the government shutdown in the US, the government will no longer have money for expenses. This will stop all other expenses from salary to government employees.
Due to shutdown, the US government will have to cut its expenses. However, emergency services such as medical service, border security and air services will continue.
The US has shutdown 20 times due to the funding bill being stuck in the last 50 years. The government had to face a shutdown 3 times during Trump’s last term.
The 2019 shutdown continued for 35 days, with a loss of Rs 25,000 crore to the American economy.
Shutdown’s famous cases in America
- In 2013, the 8,891 km long Canadian border with the US was just 1 person. It was the responsibility of cleaning the entire border area. All the rest of the employees were sent on leave.
- USAI’s soldiers (mostly first and second world war) have been killed in other countries. These are buried in 24 cemeteries around the world. Of these, 20 are in Europe. All these cemeteries were closed when shutdown in 2013.
- Many employees were not going to work at the airport due to lack of salary in the 2018 shutdown, due to which many flights were canceled.
- In the 2018 shutdown, the FBI director warned that they have lost money due to which there are problems in their work.
