Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said on Thursday that the Indus Water Treaty will remain postponed until Pakistan permanently ends terrorism across the border.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Honduras Embassy in New Delhi, he said that India got support from many countries during Operation Sindoor.
The United Nations Security Council passed a resolution that Pahalgam convicts should be held accountable, and on 7 May they were held accountable by Operation Sindoor.
Pakistan will have to stop terrorist hideouts
Jaishankar said- The Prime Minister has already cleared that only terrorism will be discussed with Pakistan. Pakistan has a list of terrorists, which it has to be handed over to us.
They have to close terrorist bases. They know what to do. We are ready to discuss what to do against terrorism.
There will be talk of vacating only POK in Kashmir case
Jaishankar stressed that there has been no change in India’s policy regarding the intervention of third party in matters related to Kashmir and Pakistan. Our conversation with Pakistan will be completely bilateral
Reiterating PM Modi’s statement, Jaishankar said- There is only one to one on the Kashmir issue, and to vacate POK. We are ready to negotiate it.
