Nishu Azad, who participated in the protest at Jantar Mantar in July, had sought help from Rahul Gandhi on Thursday to take action against the accused who attacked her father. After 3 hours of Nishu’s appeal, Rahul has said that he will give him full support. Rahul has accused Home Minister Amit Shah of protecting the accused. He asked whether action would now be taken against the accused or not. Nishu had shared the video of the accused and Swatantra Bhardwaj, who calls himself a Hindutva influencer, at 4.30 pm on Thursday. Nishu had alleged that Delhi Police was not taking action against the accused who attacked his father. Nishu’s father had to get 60 stitches on his head in the attack. In the video, the accused talked about the attack. The video of Swatantra Bhardwaj, the alleged accused of the attack and who calls himself a Hindutva influencer, has surfaced on social media. In this he is heard talking about attacking Nishu’s father Sanjay. He claims that Sanjay suffered serious head injuries and required 60 stitches. Bhardwaj says in the video that he broke Sanjay’s skull and section 307 is applicable for this crime. He also claims that he was saved from going to jail because of a call from Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra. He said that Sanjay’s daughter was talking about suicide outside the police station due to not getting justice, but he was not sent to jail and he kept roaming outside the whole night. Rahul said – Nishu, there is no need to panic. Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi supported Nishu by posting on X. He said that Nishu raises her voice for the rights of her community and students, hence she is being targeted. Rahul also raised questions on Amit Shah and Delhi Police. He said that on one hand there is violence against students, on the other hand the accused of attacking Nishu’s father is roaming freely. He asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah why such a criminal is being given protection. Rahul said that he will stand with Nishu till he gets justice. Nishu said – Now there is hope of getting justice. After the support of Rahul Gandhi, Nishu said that now she is hopeful of getting justice. He said that having the support of a big leader like Rahul has increased his confidence and he hopes that Swatantra Bhardwaj will be sent to jail. Nishu alleged that the police did not take action even after more than one and a half months had passed in the case of attack on his father. He said that a video of the accused has surfaced, in which he himself is talking about the attack. Nishu demanded that a case be registered against him under Section 307 for attempt to murder. Nishu appealed to Rahul Gandhi for help and said that she will continue this fight and will not back down until she gets justice. Bhardwaj took the names of Kapil Mishra and Chirag Paswan. In the alleged video that surfaced on social media, Swatantra Bhardwaj said that Kapil Mishra and Chirag Paswan are his elder brothers. He also claimed that he was saved from going to jail because of Kapil Mishra’s call. After the video surfaced, Congress, Aam Aadmi Party and CJP targeted BJP. He raised questions regarding the alleged video.
