- Talent was recognized in Rishikesh: Janvi’s father Munish Jindal is in the banking line. He told that when the daughter was 10 years old, he had gone to Rishikesh for river rafting. He had a group of 30 to 35 people. Since Janvi could not do rafting due to her young age, she was asked to do river jumping. There were two categories here, 15 to 30 feet, but everyone backed out the first time. Jhanvi jumped 3 times. After this said “I will do more”. From this she came to know that she would do adventure sports.
- Got wings as soon as I wore skates: Janvi told that her skating journey started 8 years ago. After this, one day when he was going to the market for shopping, he wore skates at a shop there. During that time she started skating like a professional. Went ahead by about one to three meters. This gave the idea that she could do something in this line.
- Practice on the streets after the market is closed: Janvi said- There were many new challenges also. There was no coaching for free skating/adventure skating in or around Chandigarh. In such a situation, the father himself took charge of this front. Watched many YouTube videos on the internet and listened to many coaches talk for hours. The father tried to teach his daughter what he learned. When the market in Sector-22 was closed, he used to teach him there.
- First medal after 2 years of struggle: Janvi told- She won her first medal in the journey of 2 years. After this, when he had to go to the National Games for the first time, he contracted dengue. Despite this, Janvi did not lose courage and won the medal. He has been the National Champion for 6 consecutive years.
- 11 medals in two years of struggle: Father Munish Jindal said- In 2023 it came to his mind that he had to get his daughter to do something different. After this he tried for Limca Book of Records. Although she did not get success the first time, she did not back down. He made 5 more records in 2024 and 6 more in 2025.
Journey from private to government school Janvi’s father told that earlier he used to teach her in a renowned private school, but he wanted his daughter to be able to face every situation easily and become self-reliant. So they enrolled him in a government school, where he learned to keep up with the children of his class. Now she is studying commerce subject in Sector-16 Model.
What is free style skating, in which Janvi made a record? Freestyle skating is a form of inline skating in which the skater skates without any set pattern, performing spins, jumps, balances and various tricks at his own discretion. It is a combination of art, control, speed and balance.
