Actually, Govinda had reached the talk show ‘Too Much with Kajol and Twinkle’ with Chunky Pandey. During this time he said, sometimes life comes to a standstill. No matter how well you plan, how many excellent dialogues you write and songs prepare, all these cannot make a film successful unless an atmosphere is created.

Talking about the film ‘Partner’, he said, I think actors live in some kind of womb. We think that we are born only once, but we are fortunate enough to be born again and again. Somewhere articles were published that ‘Govinda is gone, Govinda is gone.’ I thought let’s start a movie. I started ‘Aa Gaya Hero’. Before that I met David Dhawan, who suggested let’s make a film with Sohail. The hero will be Salman. That’s how ‘Partner’ became.

The film Partner is a 2007 romantic comedy film directed by David Dhawan. It was produced by Sohail Khan and Parag Sanghvi. Govinda, Salman Khan, Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif were seen in lead roles in the film. The music of the film was composed by Sajid–Wajid, while the background score was composed by Salim–Sulaiman.
