Amidst the continuous negligence and fear of infection, the Permanent Lok Adalat, considering the matter as serious, has issued notices to the responsible officials of the district administration and medical department. The next hearing of the case has been fixed on May 22.

An application was presented in the Permanent Lok Adalat under Section 22B of the Legal Services Authority Act 1987 on behalf of advocates Intakhab Ali Khan, Mohammad Anees Babar, Sania Shari, Pankaj Mishra and Mukesh Kumar. The petition alleged that maternal deaths at New Medical College Hospital and JK Lone Hospital were the result of medical negligence, infection and disorganized health services.

Permanent Lok Adalat while registering the case Rajasthan Notices have been issued to the government, Chief Medical Officer, Principal New Medical College, Superintendent New Medical College and Superintendent JK Lone Hospital. The court has called for replies from all the parties and fixed May 22 as the date of next hearing.

It has been said in the petition that there were not adequate arrangements for cleanliness in the operation theaters of the hospitals.
