Actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi amid Kriti Sanon’s Rakshabandhan ad controversy. Supporting actress Kriti Sanon, Rahul Gandhi had written the message ‘Smash the Patriarchy’ on social media.
In response to this, Kangana re-shared an illustrated (cartoon) post of BJP’s Instagram handle. In this, Kangana wrote, “Bro, wait. Bharat Mata ki Jai. Let’s start.”
Through this post, BJP has raised questions on the intentions of Congress regarding triple talaq, Shah Bano case, women’s reservation and participation of women in Karnataka cabinet.
Controversy continues over actress Kriti Sanon’s Rakshabandhan ad.
Rahul said- What a woman wears is her choice. Actually, there was a controversy regarding Kriti Sanon’s clothes in the Rakshabandhan advertisement of the jewelery brand. In this controversy, Rahul Gandhi re-shared Kriti Sanon’s statement on his Instagram story on Tuesday.
Rahul Gandhi wrote that what a woman wears, what she does and where she goes is her own choice. There should be no online policing of women’s clothing and lifestyle. Rahul had used the hashtag ‘Smash the Patriarchy’ in his post.
Kangana took a dig at BJP’s cartoon post After this statement of Rahul Gandhi, Kangana Ranaut shared a post of BJP. In this post, Rahul Gandhi’s slogan ‘Smash the Patriarchy’ has been answered through illustrations.
In the illustration, a woman asks Rahul Gandhi, what did your party do on triple talaq? On which Rahul’s character says that it was vote bank politics.
After this, there is mention of Women’s Reservation Bill, Shah Bano Case and Karnataka Cabinet. The post raised questions as to why there is not a single woman minister among the 33 ministers of the Congress government of Karnataka.
Kangana also raised questions on Kriti’s clothes Kangana Ranaut had earlier also raised questions on Kriti Sanon’s Rakshabandhan ad. Kangana had written in her Instagram story that today women have all kinds of clothes to wear, then what was the reason to choose such clothes while tying Rakhi to brother on a traditional festival like Rakshabandhan.

Brand removed advertisement after controversy This whole controversy started with the 36-second Rakshabandhan advertisement of GIVA jewelery brand. In the ad, Kriti Sanon was seen in an Indo-Western outfit and she was tying Rakhi to her brother as well as her pet dog.
Seeing the growing controversy on social media regarding tying Rakhi to clothes and pet dog, the brand issued an official statement and apologized and has removed this advertisement from all its social media platforms. Read full news
