Train number 19665 Khajuraho-Udaipur Intercity Express was stopped in the middle section due to chain pulling between Hetampur and Dholpur stations at around 4:15 pm on Sunday. Some passengers alighting from the Udaipur Intercity Express, which landed on the track and were hit by another train, reached the nearby up line. Meanwhile, train number 20424 Firozpur-Seoni Patalkot Express was passing there at high speed. Four passengers present on the track were hit by it and died on the spot. According to Pooja, a passenger returning from Bageshwar Dham, panic broke out in the coach as soon as the rumor of mobile blast spread. As soon as the train stopped after chain pulling, the passengers got down in panic and started running towards the track. As soon as information about the incident was received, teams of RPF, GRP and local administration reached the spot. Rescue operation was conducted. Hansraj, a resident of Bikaner, Rajasthan, said – We were returning from Bageshwar Dham. With me was my aunt Birma Devi and Ganesh from the neighboring village.
