China has termed this statement as extremely irresponsible and provocative. China says that this statement of Takaichi can harm the relations between the two countries and increase tension in the entire region. China summoned the Japanese Ambassador and demanded PM Takaichi to withdraw the statement.

PM Sanae Takaichi had said in the Japanese Parliament that if there is any kind of war over Taiwan and China uses army or warships in it, then this situation can become a big threat for Japan as well.

America said- will protect Japan

Amidst the deteriorating environment, on Sunday, Chinese Coast Guard ships were seen near the Japanese-controlled Senkaku Islands. After this, the Japanese Coast Guard expelled them from the area.

America made it clear that under the Japan-America security agreement, if these islands are attacked, America will protect Japan.

At the same time, Chinese film distributors have stopped the release of some Japanese films. Chinese state TV CCTV said that this decision has been taken carefully considering the domestic environment.

Chinese media said- Japan is unnecessarily interfering in Taiwan issue

China’s government media says that Japan is unnecessarily interfering in the Taiwan issue and by doing so is putting its own country in danger. It was also written in a news editorial that if the Japanese army intervened in this matter, the entire region would have to suffer losses.

China considers Taiwan as its part, while Japan and America do not recognize Taiwan as an independent country, but America helps in its security and opposes any forcible occupation of it.

Taiwan is just 110 kilometers away from Japan. The maritime area around Taiwan is very important for Japan, as it is an important maritime trade route. Additionally, Japan is home to the largest US military overseas base in the world.

China-Japan issued security advisory

The Japanese government has asked its citizens living in China to avoid crowded places. Japan’s Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara said that after the recent diplomatic disputes, the atmosphere regarding Japan in the Chinese media has deteriorated, hence this new security alert has been issued.

Japan’s security alert states that be careful when talking to strangers, do not travel alone, be cautious when going out with children and move away immediately if you see any suspicious person or group.

At the same time, China has also issued a security advisory on Sunday for Chinese students going to study in Japan. China says that the security situation in Japan these days is not good and the danger to Chinese citizens living there has increased.

Dispute between China and Japan regarding Senkaku Islands

Senkaku or Diaoyu Islands are located in the south-west region of Japan. This is the reason for Japan’s dispute with China. At present it is occupied by Japan, but it is claimed by China.
