A cloud burst occurred in Jakhaniyali and Nautar of Ghansali, which falls on the main route of Chardham Yatra in Tehri district of Uttarakhand. Two people died due to this natural disaster, while one person was seriously injured. Several acres of agricultural land of the farmers of Jakhaniyali village is reported to have been destroyed due to the cloud burst. At the same time, three people of Jakhaniyali village are reported to be missing.

There is news of cloudburst in Kedarnath footpath Bhim Bali. Due to this, about 30 meters of the footpath has been damaged due to heavy debris. Therefore, movement on the footpath has been stopped here. The administration has stopped about 150-200 pilgrims at a safe place in Bhim Bali.

The water level of the Mandakini river has also increased considerably. In such a situation, passengers have been advised to stay at safe places. The administration’s rescue team is deployed at all places.

As per the red alert issued by the Meteorological Department and the instructions given by the Garhwal Divisional Commissioner, the decision regarding the journey of the Chardham pilgrims who have reached the respective districts on August 1 will be taken by the District Magistrate of the respective district at his own level. The registration process at the registration centers located in Haridwar and Rishikesh will remain suspended on August 1.

Let us tell you that due to heavy rains, the situation in the hilly state of Uttarakhand is getting worse. Rivers and streams are overflowing here. Roads have been closed at many places due to debris. 4 days ago, the Meteorological Department had issued a red alert regarding rain in Uttarakhand.
In Uttarakhand, rivers are in spate due to rain from Kumaon to Pauri Garhwal. Nainital also received heavy rains in the past few days. Due to this, the Shipra river near Kainchi Dham was in spate. The administration is constantly appealing to tourists to be careful while going to the river banks.
