Sari said that before landing, air traffic control had instructed the plane to correct the approach alignment. Radio contact was lost soon thereafter. Meanwhile, some hikers trekking in the Mount Bulusraung area have reported debris scattered on the mountain, a plane-like logo and burning fire. According to Major General Nwoko, rescue teams are trying to reach the spot to confirm this information. Officials said there were clouds in the area at the time of the incident, but visibility was about 8 kilometers. However, steep hills and dense forests are making the rescue operation difficult.
