Avinash Mishra, famous for Bigg Boss fame and ‘Never Give Up’ attitude, is now ready to show his strength in ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’. Avinash, who recently made headlines with his outspoken style in ‘Bigg Boss OTT’, believes that his real life struggles had prepared him for this show years ago. In a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Avinash talked in detail about the initial struggles of his career, the biggest ‘danger’ of coming to Mumbai and his chemistry with the show’s host Rohit Shetty. He shared how making it in the industry without any godfather was a ‘make it or break it’ situation for him. Question: Avinash, you are known for your chocolatey image and strong personality. Now you are going to play with ‘Khatron’, how much preparation do you have? Answer: Look, by nature I am a person who keeps myself prepared for everything. But ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ is a show where no matter how much preparation you do, everything feels new when you go there. Still, I have worked hard on what is in my hands, that is, my physical and mental strength. I am 100% ready, now let’s see what happens inside the show. Question: When you first came to Mumbai, you did not have a godfather. Was that the biggest risk in your life? Answer: Of course, that was a period when I was obsessed with a different obsession. When you set out to do something on your own without any support, there is definitely fear. I remember, at that time there was only one fear that ‘What if it doesn’t happen?’ Then I had to pack my things and go back. It was a ‘make it or break it’ situation. I have kept that passion alive within me even today, which helps me even today. Question: Did that ‘fear of going back home’ become your strength? Answer: Yes, because when you have nothing to lose, the sky is the limit to gain. I told myself that I would die but I would do it. The same mantra is with me even today. Since I had taken such a big risk in my life, now I will definitely do these stunts. Question: This season is being called ‘new era of fear’. Water, heights or crawling insects… what are you most afraid of? Answer: To be honest, when I was asked in the beginning, I said that I am not afraid of anything. But as the days of the show are getting closer, everything is looking scary now (laughs). But a vision has also started that if I get this stunt, how will I overcome it. The fun of overcoming fear is different. Question: This time there is a concept of ‘Old vs New’, old players will also be in front of you. How do you see it? Answer: It is going to be very interesting. Those who are old players, have experience, they know the flow of the show. But we who are new, we will have a different approach and fresh energy. What will matter there is whose brain clicked correctly during the stunt. Question: Has a show like ‘Bigg Boss’ prepared you mentally for this show? Answer: Very much! If you survive for so many days in Bigg Boss, you automatically get mental training. There you learn to tolerate many things mentally. Khatron Ke Khiladi is not just a game of body building, it is a game of will power and keeping yourself calm in difficult situations. Question: When you got the offer for this show, what was the reaction of your parents at home? Answer: He knew that if I got the offer, I would say ‘yes’. I was always excited for this show. Mom and Dad are only concerned that I should not go there and do anything wrong other than stunts. He just said, “If you are going then just come back after winning.” Question: How excited are you to work with Rohit Shetty? Answer: Rohit sir is full of action and comedy like his films. He is very spontaneous. Sometimes he lightens the atmosphere by doing pranks, and sometimes he motivates you so much that you even do impossible stunts. Will get to learn a lot from him.
