Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, who made his Bollywood debut with the film Ikkis, has recently talked about the family’s legacy. He says that it is not his job to take forward the legacy of Bachchan and Kapoor family. For them, this is a waste of time, because they believe that they will never reach their destination.
Recently, a video of the question-answer round of Agastya Nanda, lead actress Simar Bhatia and director Sriram Raghavan from the film Ikkis has been released on IMDb’s YouTube channel. In the conversation, director Sriram Raghavan asked Agastya Nanda, ‘Since both sides of your family have been associated with cinema and are considered veterans, does this put a lot of pressure on you or do you take it easily?’
In response, Agastya Nanda said, ‘I do not feel this pressure at all, because I feel that this is not my legacy which I have to carry. My surname is Nanda, because first of all I am my father’s son. My entire focus is on making them proud and this is the legacy that I carry with me with full responsibility.
Agastya Nanda further said, ‘Other members of my family who are actors, I appreciate their work, love their work, but I don’t think I can ever become like them. Therefore, there is no point in wasting time thinking about this.

Let us tell you that Agastya Nanda belongs to the Bachchan and Kapoor families, two stalwarts of Hindi cinema. His mother Shweta Nanda is the daughter of Amitabh Bachchan, while his father Nikhil Nanda is the grandson of Raj Kapoor.

Talking about career, Agastya Nanda started her acting career with the Netflix film The Archies directed by Zoya Akhtar. After this film which came on OTT, Agastya Nanda has made her Bollywood debut with the film Ikkis. This film was released on January 1, which is Dharmendra’s last film.
