Writer and columnist Shobha De has claimed that under the guise of ‘Don 3’ controversy, a conspiracy is being hatched against Ranveer Singh and ‘Dhurandhar’ director Aditya Dhar.
Due to his sudden exit from the film ‘Don 3’, Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has issued ‘Non-Cooperation Directive’ against Ranveer Singh.
Talking about this issue, Shobha De shared a video on Instagram on Thursday. Also in the caption, he wrote, ‘Ranveer Singh is like the Delhi Gymkhana of Bollywood… everything looks the same, but is different. Why separation instead of taking everyone together? Threats and attempts to exert pressure will not work. Didn’t do it before and won’t do it in future also.
In the video, Shobha De compared Ranveer Singh’s ‘Don 3’ controversy and the Delhi Gymkhana Club controversy. She said, ‘I am looking into the Ranveer Singh case and also the Delhi Gymkhana case. I don’t see much difference between the two. In many ways, Ranveer Singh is like the Delhi Gymkhana of Bollywood.

Let us tell you that recently the Central Government has asked Delhi Gymkhana Club to vacate the premises located on Safdarjung Road. The government says that this land present with government and defense institutions in Lutyens’ Delhi is needed for strengthening the defense infrastructure and for security related works.
Shobha De said, ‘What is this whole matter about? It’s about power, control, and trying to put a stop to people. This is an attempt to show people their place and teach them a lesson. Those people or institutions are being targeted which some people consider to have excessive privileges.

Shobha De described Ranveer as intelligent and calm.
Shobha De praised Ranveer and said, ‘Ranveer is intelligent and he is getting the right advice. He is silent and is not giving any statement on the entire matter. His fans and supporters are responding on his behalf.
He further said, ‘The story of Delhi Gymkhana Club is different. The old members sit there and keep themselves separate from the rest of the world. On the other hand, there is the case of Ranveer Singh. Both the news are different, but they also have many similarities.
Shobha De also said that FWICE has suddenly come into limelight. The organization is saying that it will not allow Ranveer Singh, one of India’s most successful stars, to work in the studio.
Shobha De further said, ‘If this matter was between Excel Entertainment, Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh, they could have hired lawyers and moved the court. There was no need to bring other people in for this.
He said, ‘What is happening right now seems very wrong and disturbing.’
Called Aditya Dhar a threat to powerful people
Shobha De said, ‘Ranveer Singh is a big film star. His identity is not just that of an actor, but of a different status. The credit for the tremendous success of ‘Dhurandhar’ also goes to its director and producer.
He further said, ‘I feel that this could be a conspiracy not only against Ranveer Singh, but also against everyone associated with ‘Dhurandhar’, especially its director Aditya Dhar and the producer.’
Shobha raised the question and said, ‘Has Aditya Dhar become such a big threat to some powerful people of Bollywood? It seems so.
At the end of the video, Shobhaa De appealed to Farhan Akhtar to take the matter to court. He said, ‘Let the law decide who has committed what mistake, because it is not clear to the common people right now.’
