Almost 140 days have passed since the death of Bollywood actor Dharmendra. His younger son Bobby Deol has given his first interview after his father’s death. Bobby told that his father’s death has shaken him to the core. During this, he also spoke openly about his regrets and changing relationships with his step-sisters Esha and Ahana Deol. He regrets spending more time with his father. Bobby Deol said in an interview to Esquire India that he wanted to spend more quality time with his father. Bobby said emotionally, there are many days when I feel that I wish I had sat more with Papa. I wish I had asked him more questions. Now I am more conscious about being with my sons, wife and family. Box office, reviews and roles… all this doesn’t matter in the end. Even today Dharmendra’s reels are seen on Instagram. Explaining the meaning of success, Bobby said that success is measured by how much time you are able to spend with your loved ones. He said, what is the use of fame and wealth without one’s own? Even today I keep watching his (Dharmendra) reels on Instagram. He was a very simple and warm person. Sometimes it seems as if he is talking directly to me through the reel. Grief brings Esha and Ahana closer There has been a positive change in the Deol family after Dharmendra’s demise. Bobby told that this grief has brought him closer to his half-sisters Isha and Ahana Deol. Bobby said, we are all dealing with this grief in our own ways. Sometimes due to sadness people misunderstand each other, but with time everything becomes fine. Losing a loved one has its own way of bringing families closer. Dharmendra also felt sorry for his father. Bobby shared an old memory and said that his father often used to recite poems and verses. Dharmendra’s pain and regret of not being able to spend much time with his father was reflected in those poems. Bobby said, his words impressed me a lot. I think it’s a cycle of life that continues from generation to generation. Died on 24th November: Let us tell you that Dharmendra died on 24th November in Mumbai at the age of 89. He breathed his last 12 days after being discharged from Breach Candy Hospital. Many big Bollywood stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan attended his funeral.
