एक दिन में शूट हुआ अक्षय के साथ सॉन्ग: भोजपुरी एक्ट्रेस अक्षरा सिंह से फिल्म के इंट्रो सॉन्ग को लेकर खास बातचीत

Mainstream makers of Hindi and South are continuously collaborating with Bhojpuri actors and singers. Now Akshay has also done a song with Akshara Singh for ‘Welcome to the Jungle’. Akshara will be seen dancing with Akshay in a special intro song of the film. Special conversation with him… How did this offer of ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ come to you? The offer for this film came directly from famous choreographer Ganesh Acharya. I have always been in conversation with Master ji, but a long time ago we worked together during a show. At that time he had seen my live performance on stage. That performance of mine and my skill always remained in Master ji’s mind. One day suddenly he called and said…’Akshara, there is a very big song with Akshay Kumar and they are keen to do it with you. What was your first reaction? My first reaction was – ‘Oh my God!’ A thought immediately came to my mind that how did the makers of such a big Bollywood film and Akshay sir himself think like this? Why did he choose only me from the entire Bhojpuri industry? I immediately presented my dilemma to Master Ji. What he said to me on this took my courage to the seventh heaven. He said…’Akshara, you yourself have no idea what you are!’ So what, I immediately agreed to this song. What is the flavor of this song of yours? This is not a hip-hop song. This is the intro song of the film, which will introduce the story and characters to the audience. It has been shot in a completely commercial, colorful and explosive setup. In this you will get to see the real desi flavor of Bollywood, that iconic and evergreen ‘Sarkai Lo Khatiya Jada Lage’. From the background to the dance moves, everything is very peppy. What conversations did you have with Akshay Kumar during the breaks during shooting? I can’t forget the experience of working with Akshay Kumar sir for the rest of my life. Before going to the set, I had a little fear in my mind that he is such a big superstar, I don’t know how he will behave? But when I met him, I realized that he is a very down-to-earth person. He met me very warmly and said…’Akshara, you are so beautiful, how long have you been working in the industry?’ I was very happy to hear this. Not only Akshay sir, but everyone present on the set praised my work. Akshay sir asked me many times that how do you like this song? She said that I do very good work and that I have been handling Bhojpuri cinema for so many years, it is praiseworthy. Getting so much respect and love from a big star like him is no less than an award for me. How many days did it take to shoot this song? It is shocking that the shooting of the entire song was completed in just one day. Yes, the entire work was limited to one day’s schedule. We reached the set early in the morning. The biggest quality of Ganesh Acharya ji is that his pace of taking and working is very fast and different. Starting from the morning shift till around 9:10 in the night, we had shot the entire song. Any interesting incident happened while shooting the song on the sets? The first opening lines of this song were- ‘Hamar lagal ba dilwa playboy se…’. Earlier, the name of a famous soap brand was being used for rhyming in front of this line, but in the last moments of the shooting, the makers and master felt that it might not be right to use the name of a brand directly, so they changed it at the last minute. However, the song is still equally fun to listen to. What difference did you feel between the way Bhojpuri and Bollywood work? As an actor, we learn something new every day, on every set. The technical details that I saw on this Bollywood set were a very new experience for me. In Bhojpuri, we first shoot the entire song or scene, then that footage goes to the editing table and after about 15-20 days we get to see our work. There was a different level of technology on the sets of ‘Welcome to the Jungle’. There was facility for on-the-spot ‘shot check’ and editing. Master ji was shooting the song and the shot was being edited immediately on the monitor.
