In this clip, Sonu is seen holding his head and saying that he will cry after hearing such singing. Seeing the growing controversy over the video, Sonu Nigam himself has revealed the truth of this viral video by sharing a post on Instagram.

He clarified that anything can be shown on the internet and this video has been made by editing. Actually, he was not making fun of anyone, but was impressed by the singing of a Pakistani girl and cried.

The original video was for Pakistani girl Hadiya Hashmi

Sonu Nigam clarified that the video which is being shared with Salman Khan is from the year 2020. At that time, actor Javed Jaffrey had sent Sonu a video of Nescafe Basement’s song ‘Bol Hu’, in which little girl Hadiya Hashmi had sung the aalaap.

Sonu became so emotional after listening to Hadiya’s singing that he had tears in his eyes. At the same time, he had made and shared a video in praise of the girl. Now some people edited that old video with Salman Khan’s performance on TV and made it viral.

Singer Anish Mathews also told the truth of the original clip

Singer Anish Mathews also confirmed the authenticity of the edited video by commenting on Sonu Nigam’s explanatory post. Anish wrote that he remembers very well that this reaction of Sonu ji was on the song of little girl Hadiya Hashmi in the song ‘Bol Hu’ from ‘Nescafe Basement’. Other users also wrote that any video is being misused for views and trolling on the internet.

This whole issue started after a social media post by Salman Khan Films (SKF). On the completion of 10 years of the film ‘Hero’, the makers had shared a post about the song ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’ sung by Salman, in which the name of music composer Amaal Malik was not written. Amaal had expressed his displeasure over not getting credit on social media. However, later the makers edited the post and included Amaal’s name. But after this Salman’s fans started trolling Amaal and his brother Armaan Malik.
