It is noteworthy that last year when Ranveer Allahbadia came on Samay Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Latent’, there was a lot of controversy. Ranveer had made obscene and objectionable jokes during the episode. As soon as its video went viral, there was huge protest across the country. The controversy grew so much that Samay Raina had to remove all the episodes of ‘India’s Got Latent’ from his YouTube channel. Due to this controversy, FIR was registered against Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, Apoorva Makhija and Jaspreet Singh in states like Maharashtra, Assam (Guwahati) and Rajasthan (Jaipur). The Supreme Court took a strict stance on this, calling Ranveer’s mind “dirty” and said that such things bring shame to the society. The court had also ordered him to apologize publicly.
