The first Health Working Group (HWG) meeting of 2026 under the BRICS framework was held in Delhi on Wednesday, which was chaired by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The meeting was attended by senior health officials, experts and representatives from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, UAE and Indonesia.
Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava, in her inaugural address, said that the Health Working Group is an important platform to advance public health cooperation. He said that over the years, cooperation between BRICS countries has increased in areas such as combating infectious and non-infectious diseases, strengthening health systems and increasing access to affordable medicines.

Big relief to businessmen of Kashmir: Fast parcel train will run between Delhi-Budgam from April 17
Northern Railway of Jammu division on Wednesday said that Joint Parcel Product-Rapid Cargo Service (JPP-RCS) train will be run between Adarsh Nagar in New Delhi and Budgam in Kashmir from April 17.
According to Railways, this service will currently be operated regularly on trial basis till May 31. After this, depending on the demand and usage of passengers and businessmen, it can be included as a permanent service.
Train number 00462 will depart from Budgam at 6:15 am and reach Adarsh Nagar, Delhi at 5 am the next day. To facilitate loading and unloading en route, this train will also stop at Bari Brahmana and Ambala Cantt stations. It has been made more convenient for traders by changing the timings at Bari Brahmana station.
