The driver and seven other tourists lost their lives in a tragic road accident on Sach Pass road in Churah tribal area of Chamba district. The accident happened near the sharp turn of Kalaban while coming from Sach Pass towards Bairagarh. According to the information, a family coming from Bengaluru booked a taxi vehicle in the tourist city Dalhousie.

To which the other family also agreed and boarded a taxi and left for Sach holding via Bairagarh-Killar road on Friday. The taxi owner started getting worried when the taxi booked by these tourists did not return to Dalhousie.
Sharp turn, car fell into ditch
He saw through GPS that his car was at a place near Kalavan and there was no movement in it. Train number HP01C-2133 was coming from Sach Pass towards Bairagarh on Friday, 29 May. Meanwhile, the vehicle met with an accident near the sharp turn of Kalaban and fell into a deep ditch. Information about the accident was given by OCP Bairagarh to police station Tisa through telephone on Saturday.
As soon as the information was received, the police and local administration team reached the spot and relief and rescue operations were conducted. But the accident was so severe that all eight people in the vehicle died.
Who are included in the dead?
The deceased have been identified as driver Vishwas Salhota son of Thomas, resident of Mohalla Jwala, Mawa Banikhet and tourists from Karnataka and Chhattisgarh Arvind Chandrakar, Prachi, Darsh, Akshad, P.G. Karthighayan, Manimala and Nandan. All dead bodies will be sent to the Medical College for post-mortem. Chamba sent. Police have registered a case in this regard and the reasons for the accident are being investigated. In view of the frequent accidents on the Sach Pass road, local people have demanded the administration to further strengthen road safety measures.
