Tipper filled with mud rams into bus stop in Kollam, Kerala, 3 killed; 5 injured
Three people were killed and five others injured in a tragic road accident in Kottarakkara area of Kollam district in Kerala on Tuesday afternoon. A tipper lorry (dumper) filled with soil went out of control and rammed into a bus stop in Neeleshwaram area.
According to the police, the tipper coming at high speed was carrying soil. Suddenly the vehicle lost control and it directly collided with the people standing at the bus stop. During the accident, the soil filled in the vehicle fell on the people, due to which many people got buried under it.
The dead also included a school student who was waiting for the bus to go to school. Five other people were injured in the accident. The condition of three of these is said to be serious.
