There are also plans to upgrade Bogura Airport as per international standards. From India’s point of view, its importance increases because Bangladesh shares about 4,096 km long border with India. This is the longest border of India with any neighboring country. Also, it is considered to be the 5th longest land border between any two countries in the world. According to Otokar, COBRA II is used by armies of more than 20 countries in the world. Turkey’s drone manufacturing company is also in Pakistan. Cooperation on drones and defense technology has continuously increased between Turkey and Pakistan. Turkish drone manufacturing company Baykar is already present in Pakistan. In 2023, Baykar’s Pakistani subsidiary had signed an agreement for research and development activities at the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP).
