The ED had arrested Arvind Kejriwal in the liquor policy case on March 21 and the CBI had arrested him on June 26.

The Delhi High Court will give its verdict on Arvind Kejriwal’s petition challenging the CBI’s arrest and his interim bail plea on Monday (July 29). On July 17, the court had reserved its verdict on both. Kejriwal’s regular bail plea will also be heard in the court.

Arvind Kejriwal is facing a case of corruption and money laundering related to Delhi liquor policy. The corruption case is being investigated by CBI and the money laundering case is being investigated by ED. The hearing in the corruption case was held in Rouse Avenue Court on 25 July. In this, the court extended Kejriwal’s judicial custody till 8 August.

At the same time, Kejriwal is in jail till July 31 in ED’s money laundering case. Kejriwal was arrested by ED on March 21. After that, Rouse Avenue Court sent him to custody. CBI arrested Kejriwal on June 26. Apart from Kejriwal, the court has also extended the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia, BRS leader Kavita and other accused till July 31.

On July 12, the Supreme Court granted bail to Kejriwal
Arvind Kejriwal was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court on July 12. While granting bail, Justice Sanjeev Khanna had said that Kejriwal has been in jail for 90 days. Therefore, we order his release. We know that he is an elected leader and it is up to him to decide whether he wants to remain the Chief Minister or not.

Justice Khanna had said that we are transferring this case to a larger bench. What is the policy of arrest, what is its basis. For this, we have also prepared 3 such questions. If the larger bench wants, it can make changes in Kejriwal’s interim bail. However, even after getting bail from the Supreme Court, the bail bond has not been filled by him yet. Read full news…

ED files seventh supplementary chargesheet in liquor policy case
On July 9, ED presented the seventh supplementary chargesheet in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court. In this 208-page chargesheet, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has been described as the mastermind and conspirator of the case. The chargesheet said that the money obtained from the scam has been spent on the Aam Aadmi Party.

The ED has said in the chargesheet that Kejriwal spent this money in AAP’s election campaign in the 2022 Goa elections. It has been claimed that Kejriwal had sought a bribe of Rs 100 crore from the members of the South Group for the contract to sell liquor, out of which Rs 45 crore was spent on the Goa elections.

The ED asserted that Kejriwal claimed that AAP’s former media in-charge and co-accused in the case Vijay Nair worked under ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj and not him. It also claimed that the CM said Durgesh Pathak was the state in-charge of Goa and managed the funds and that he himself had no role in decisions related to funds and that he did not receive bribe from Bharat Rashtra Samiti leader K Kavita.
