Iranian President Masoud Pejeshkian said on Saturday that his country is in a state of full-scale war with America, Israel and Europe. The statement was published on the official website of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Pejeshkian described this war as more complex and dangerous than the Iran-Iraq war of 1980-88, in which millions of people were killed.

The President said that at present pressure has increased from all sides, economic, military and political. It is much more difficult than traditional warfare.

This statement has come at a time when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to meet Trump at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. Iran will be the main issue in this meeting, in which its nuclear program and military action can be discussed.

President said- Enemies want to create division in our country

The President appealed to the people to maintain national unity and said the enemies wanted to take advantage of internal divisions.

The US and its allies accuse Iran of making nuclear weapons, which Iran has repeatedly denied. Iran says its nuclear program is peaceful.

Trump resumed his ‘maximum pressure’ policy after coming back to power in January 2025, which includes steps to reduce Iran’s oil exports to zero and impose additional sanctions.

France, Germany and Britain reimposed UN sanctions in September, which were lifted after the 2015 nuclear deal. These sanctions have increased pressure on Iran’s economy.

Iran says that Western countries are using sanctions for political pressure, while they want peace.

President said- Iran’s army is now stronger than before, will respond

Pejeshkian claimed that despite the June attacks, Iran’s military is now stronger than ever.

He said that our army is strong in both weapons and manpower. He further said, “Our army is doing its job strongly. If they attack again, they will get a strong response.”

between iran and israel There was a straight war for 12 days

There was a 12-day war between Israel and Iran in June 2025, in which Israel attacked Iran’s military and nuclear bases.

More than 1000 Iranian people were killed in this attack, while 28 people died in Israel due to Iranian missiles.

Later the US also got involved and bombed three Iranian nuclear sites, stalling the nuclear talks that had been going on since April.

Israel attacked to stop nuclear program

The purpose of the attack towards Israel was to derail Iran’s nuclear program.

America also got involved in this entire war. On June 22, the US attacked Iran’s major nuclear sites like Natanz, Fordow and Isfahan. Two days later, a US-brokered ceasefire came into effect and the fighting subsided.

US President Trump claimed after the war that he prevented American and Israeli forces from assassinating Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

At the same time, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that they wanted to kill Khamenei, but could not find out where he was hiding underground.

If there is a war, what will be the impact on Iran?

If this tension turns into a full-scale war, it could have a serious impact on Iran. It could be worse than the Iran-Iraq war of 1980-88.

  • Military losses: Iran’s military is strong (in missiles and drones), but advanced US and Israeli technology (such as air defense and cyber attacks) can destroy Iran’s nuclear sites, military bases and infrastructure. Iran’s missile capability was already weakened in the June 2025 war.
  • Economic disaster: Iran’s economy has been suffering from American and international sanctions for a long time, due to which inflation is very high and oil exports have reduced. Stopping oil exports would reduce revenues, increase inflation, and could lead to food and medicine shortages.
  • Humanitarian crisis: Attacks on civilian areas could displace millions. Health, education and basic services will come to a standstill. Iran is already struggling with an economic crisis, and war could lead to famine or spread of diseases.
  • Political influence: Internal dissatisfaction may increase, which will become a threat to governance.
  • Global impact: The war will affect the global economy (oil prices), but Iran will be most affected. However, Iran claims that its army is now stronger than before and will respond decisively.
