1. Aman lost 4.6 kg weight in 10 hours
After the semi-finals, Aman’s weight had increased to 61.5 kg, which was 4.5 kg more than his weight category of 57 kg. Here the biggest challenge in front of senior Indian coaches Jagmander Singh and Virender Dahiya was how to reduce the weight before morning.

Dahiya explains that it was like a mission, because after what happened with Vinesh, we could not afford another setback. Vinesh was disqualified for the final due to being 100 grams more and is now fighting a case in court. How coach Virendra Dahiya’s mission was accomplished. Know more in a few points ahead…

  • We had a one and a half hour mat session at night. In this, the coach made us stand and wrestle and after that, he made us take a bath in hot water for an hour.
  • At 12:30 pm, I ran on the treadmill in the gym for an hour without stopping. Sweating out helped me lose weight.
  • A 30-minute break was given, followed by 5 sessions of sauna bath of 5 minutes each.
  • After the last session, Aman’s weight was 900 grams more. He was given a massage.
  • He was asked to do light jogging. After this there were 5 running sessions of 15 minutes each.
  • By 4:30 am, Aman’s weight had increased to 56.9 kg, 100 grams less than 57 kg.
  • In between sessions, Aman was given lukewarm water with lemon and honey and a little coffee to drink. Then Aman could not sleep.
  • Coach Dahiya watched wrestling videos all night and kept checking Aman’s weight every hour.

2. Match analysis from experts – Scored points by tiring out the opponent wrestler
Aman won this match with his strong attack, stamina and strategy. After losing the first point, Aman adopted an aggressive stance. He did a leg attack on the opponent and took him to his knees and scored points. In the first round, Aman did not play a big bet and saved his stamina. Here Aman was tiring the opponent.

When the opponent got tired, he started attacking again and scored 7 points in the second round. In this too, he scored points from leg attack. Not only this, when the opponent attacked Aman’s leg, he defended himself well. According to me, this match was one-sided. Aman remained ahead in this entire match.
