The Director General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) has issued a notice to Bajaj Finance for alleged tax evasion of ₹341 crore. In the notice dated August 3, the GST evasion investigating agency has accused Bajaj Finance of wrongly showing service charges as interest charges. The company has done this to save tax.

Economics Times has given this information in one of its reports. However, no official information has been given by the company about this. According to the report, Bajaj Finance has refused to comment on this matter.

Tata Group’s retail chain company Trent Limited has made a profit of Rs 391 crore in the first quarter of the financial year 2024-25. It has increased by 135% as compared to the same quarter a year ago. In Q1FY24 (first quarter of financial year 2023-24), the company had a profit of Rs 167 crore.

Talking about the consolidated revenue from the company’s operations, it was Rs 4,104 crore in the April-June quarter. It has increased by 56% on an annual basis. In the same quarter a year ago, the company had generated a revenue of Rs 2,628 crore. The amount received from selling goods and services is called revenue.

Berger Paints has reported a profit of Rs 353.56 crore in the first quarter of FY 2024-25. It has declined marginally by 0.23% as compared to the same quarter a year ago. The company had posted a profit of Rs 354.35 crore in Q1FY24 (first quarter of FY 2023-24).

Talking about the consolidated revenue from the company’s operations, it was Rs 3,091 crore in the April-June quarter. It has increased by 2.03% on an annual basis. In the same quarter a year ago, the company had generated a revenue of Rs 3,030 crore. The amount received from selling goods and services is called revenue.
