But why does the Congress dislike Trump so much? That’s because Rahul Gandhi sees a Modi in Trump.

Normally, political parties are very careful when it comes to taking sides in foreign and diplomatic relations. Specially, the Congress, which has been in power and understands the dynamics of maintaining a balanced line when it comes to speaking on global leaders.

But Rahul Gandhi is of the belief that Trump, who rode to power for his macho nationalism and rabid right views, is what Modi is all about. As Rahul Gandhi works at building a perception of the PM as being weak and desh drohi and has challenged him to a debate on this topic, Trump’s “fall” is being seen as an opportunity for the Congress and opposition that the same could happen here.
