Rahul said that when Sidhu came to meet him, he had not heard his songs, but in the very first meeting he seemed to him to be a very talented and impressive young man.

Rahul Gandhi told that Sidhu Moosewala Wanted to join Congress. He did not understand politics very well, but he had a lot of ability. Rahul said that he felt in the first meeting itself that this youth should be made to feel comfortable in politics and in his own way, he should be given political protection. However, at that time the thought of physical safety had not come to his mind.

‘Sidhu’s songs had the voice of Punjab’

Rahul Gandhi Said that later when he heard the songs of Sidhu Moosewala, he understood that there was a voice of Punjab in his music. He was one of the most talented musicians of Punjab and could have done great work in politics in future.

Rahul Gandhi told that Sidhu had received threats. Then one day he saw that his security was removed in front of everyone and after this he was murdered in broad daylight in Punjab.

Referring to his meeting with Moosewala’s father, Rahul said that at that time he had said something which he still remembers. According to Rahul, his father had said that the death of parents hurts, but there is no greater pain in the world than that of a father who has to see the death of his son.

‘The same thinking which killed Sidhu is roaming in Punjab today’

Rahul Gandhi alleged that the same thinking which shot Sidhu Moosewala in front of everyone is roaming in every corner of Punjab today. He said that the youth who want to move forward on the basis of their skills and want to work for Punjab and the country are threatened and intimidated. After this he is shot in front of everyone.

Referring to the murder of Moosewala, Rahul raised the issue of safety of talented youth in Punjab. He said that this is not just a story of the murder of one person, but a case of thinking that prevents the youth from moving forward.
