The first night of WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium (50,386 in attendance) delivered a wild mix of heel turns, shock returns, and emotional moments that stole the spotlight.
Cody Rhodes Turns the Tables
Cody Rhodes walked into his Undisputed WWE Title clash against Randy Orton as the fan-favourite, but didn’t wrestle like one.
Rhodes leaned fully into a heel persona throughout the match, bending the rules and flipping the narrative.
He ultimately got the win, but Orton had the last word — dropping Rhodes with a brutal punt after the bell in classic “Viper” fashion.
Paige’s Return Steals the Show
The biggest pop of the night? Easily Paige’s long-awaited return.
With Brie Bella stepping in after Nikki Bella was ruled out, fans got what they’d been chanting for. Paige looked sharp, hitting the Rampage on Alexa Bliss to seal the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Gunther vs Rollins and Breakker’s Statement
Gunther vs Seth Rollins was arguably match of the night… and then Bron Breakker happened.
Breakker stormed down the massive WrestleMania ramp and speared Rollins behind the referee’s back, setting up Gunther’s chokehold finish.
Bianca Belair’s Emotional Reveal
Bianca Belair brought the house down with a surprise announcement — she’s expecting her first child with Montez Ford.
It was one of the best moments of the night, with WWE giving her the biggest stage possible to share the news.
