1. AI will tell whether the waiting ticket will be confirmed or not: Railways is changing the 40 year old reservation system, trains will shift to hi-tech module from August.

Indian Railways is going to completely change its 40 year old Passenger Reservation System (PRS). The new system will tell with the help of AI whether the waiting ticket will be confirmed or not.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav held a meeting with officials on Monday and directed to shift trains to the new upgraded system from August. The present reservation system was started in the year 1986.

Hyderabad based Skyroot Aerospace has raised funding of $60 million i.e. about ₹500 crore. After this investment, the valuation of the company has reached 1.1 billion dollars i.e. about ₹ 10 thousand crores. It is the first space startup in the country to join the Unicorn Club.

3. Liquor and beer may become costlier by 20%: Impact of Iran war, packaging costs increased; Companies demanded states to increase prices

Liquor manufacturing companies have demanded state governments to increase the prices of liquor, beer and wine. Companies say that the supply chain has been affected due to the ongoing war between Iran and America. Due to this, the cost of glass bottles, aluminum cans and packaging materials has increased significantly.
Major organizations of the liquor industry, Confederation of Indian Alcoholic Beverage Companies (CIABC) and Brewers Association of India (BAI) have written letters to the states seeking permission to change the prices. BAI has suggested increasing prices by 15%-20% to compensate for the increase in input costs.

4. Silver increased by ₹ 5,731 to reach ₹ 2.55 lakh kg: This year it has become costlier by ₹ 24 thousand, gold today increased by ₹ 285 and crossed ₹ 1.51 lakh.

There was an increase in the prices of gold and silver today i.e. on 7th May. The price of 10 grams 24 carat gold has increased by Rs 285 and has crossed Rs 1.51 lakh. Whereas silver has increased by Rs 5,731 to reach Rs 2.55 lakh per kg.
