Ward No. 174 (F/North) is one of the 227 wards of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), India’s largest municipal corporation. This ward is reserved for General (Women) and has a total population of 50491, out of which 1900 belong to Scheduled Caste and 410 to Scheduled Tribe.

The boundary of the ward as published in the Gazette of the Government of Maharashtra is as follows: Starting from the junction of North Nala of MMRDA Transit Camp (Kokri Depot) and Wadala Monorail Depot Marg, running east and southwards of Wadala Monorail Depot Marg to its junction with Chandni Creek on General Arunkumar Vaidya Marg; thereafter southwards on the west side of Chandni Creek across General Arunkumar Vaidya Marg (90 Feet Road) up to its junction with ‘A’ Nala leading to Sangam Nagar Police Station; Thence westwards on the north side of the said drain up to its junction with Bharani Naka covering Sangam Nagar Police Post Road Sangam Nagar Police Post; thereafter towards the north of Bharani Naka towards west towards Sangam Nagar Police Chowki Marg then towards north towards the east of 27.41(North-South) DP Road till its junction with ‘A’ passage leading to Nala at Motilal Nehru Nagar Zopadpatti; then northwards on the east side of that passage to its junction with ‘A’ Drain; then easterly along the south side of the drain, easterly and southerly up to its junction with the western compound wall of Wadala Truck Terminal; then northwards along that compound wall to its junction with Wadala Truck Terminal Road; then westwards along the northern side of Wadala Truck Terminal Road up to its junction with MMRDA Transit Camp (Kokri Depot) Internal Road (South-North); Then northwards on the east side of MMRDA Transit Camp (Kokri Depot) Internal (South-North) Road up to its junction with ‘A’ Nala………Starting Point. Main locations/colonies/cities in this ward are Wadala Truck Terminal, Vijay Nagar, Wadala RTO, Chandni Nagar. North – Ward No. 173 (Wadala Truck Terminal Road) East – Ward No. 155 (Administrative Boundary of M/West Ward) South – Ward No. 180 & 181 (Sangam Nagar to Bharani Naka Road) West – Ward No. 175 (CGS Colony- Sector 7)

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) consists of 227 wards in Mumbai city. The last BMC elections were held on 21 February 2017, in which Shiv Sena became the largest party with 84 seats, while Bharatiya Janata Party won 82 seats. The next election is scheduled for 15 January 2026, and counting of votes will take place on 16 January 2026.
