In an exclusive interview with India Today, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde thanked the people of Mumbai for Mahayuti alliance’s historic victory in the BMC election. He attributed the success to a focus on infrastructure and development over emotional issues. He emphasised that ‘People want development’ and have rejected ‘anti-development’ agendas and corruption.
The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance swept the polls with 118 seats, and the BJP emerged as the single largest party with 90 seats. The Shiv Sena (Shinde), on the other hand, is leading with 28 seats.
