Megha Ramanathan – Mission to eliminate gender inequality in sports

When fellow girls in the co-ed swimming team, fed up with the sexual comments made by the boys, started quitting sports, Megha was determined to change that. She founded ‘Girls4Sports’, the world’s largest youth-led organization against gender inequality in sports. Due to this initiative of Megha, about 40 thousand girls from 23 countries including India were able to join sports.

Sara Shelke – Fighting Stress Through More Than 25 Thousand Peers

Sara began working on the mental health crisis after seeing a family member struggle with depression. His organization ‘Mind4Youth’ is working with more than 25 thousand volunteers in 71 countries. Provides help in collaboration with organizations like UNICEF and Google, so that the social stigma related to mental stress among the youth can be eliminated.

Now the goal is to increase opportunities in the era of AI.

Chad Houser – Changed the lives of 1700 youth with his unique café.

A unique non-profit restaurant ‘Cafe Momentum’ has been started for teenagers released from jail. Here they are given one year paid internship along with help related to cooking, mental health and studies. Due to this, the graph of juveniles getting involved in crime again has reduced from 50% to 15%. He has also been awarded the ‘Humanitarian of the Year’ award for changing the lives of 1700 youth.

Angela Ferrell – mobilizing against gun violence

Gun violence is the leading cause of death for children in America. A nationwide campaign ‘Moms Demand Action’ is being run against this. Due to their efforts, the biggest company manufacturing illegal and unlicensed ‘ghost guns’ was closed through the court. She is also making people aware at the local level about safe handling of guns.
