Virat Kohli produced a stunning display with a breathtaking century as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by six wickets in their IPL 2026 clash on Wednesday, May 13. Chasing a challenging target of 193 in Raipur, Kohli delivered a masterclass in controlled aggression and composure, finishing unbeaten on 105 off just 60 balls, an innings studded with 11 fours and three sixes.

The RCB star, who had entered the match on the back of consecutive ducks, looked determined right from the outset. He brought up his half-century in just 32 balls before shifting gears brilliantly in the second half of the chase. Kohli eventually completed his century in 58 deliveriesadding yet another memorable chapter to his glittering T20 career.

Kohli did enjoy a slice of luck when Rovman Powell dropped him on 21, but KKR were made to pay dearly for the missed opportunity. The former RCB captain stitched together a crucial 92-run partnership with Devdutt Padikkal, who contributed a fluent 39, ensuring Bengaluru remained firmly in control of the chase. Jitesh Sharma eventually sealed the win with a boundary as RCB chased down the target with five balls to spare.

The victory lifted RCB to the top of the IPL 2026 points table with 16 points from 12 matches, significantly boosting their hopes of securing a top-two finish. For KKR, meanwhile, the defeat dealt a major blow to their playoff aspirations.
