For the first time in National Geographic magazine’s 136-year history, a cover story has been written and photographed entirely in India, by an Indian. At the heart of it is the hauntingly beautiful image of the rare black tiger from Simlipal, captured by scientist-turned-photographer Prasenjeet Yadav.
