Shiprocket IPO: E-commerce enablement platform Shiprocket Ltd, which witnessed a strong 102.28x subscription on the final day of its bidding on Friday, will see its IPO allotment today, August 17. Investors might be able to check their allotment status in the evening today. They will also get a bank debit message if their allotment is approved.

On the last day of bidding on Friday, the Rs 1,617.48-crore initial public offering (IPO) received a strong 102.28x subscription, garnering bids for 9,38,65,50,866 shares as against the 9,17,70,006 shares on offer. Its retail category has received a 48.38x subscription, while the non-institutional investor (NII) category received a 92.58x subscription. The QIB category received a 125.20x subscription on Day 3.

The public issue was open for public subscription between August 12 and August 14. The stock is scheduled to be listed on both BSE and NSE on August 19.

The basis of allotment of the Shiprocket IPO is likely to be finalised today, August 17, while refunds and credit of shares to successful bidders are expected on August 18. The allotment status can be checked online by following these steps:

1) Visit registrar Kfin Technologies Ltd’s portal – https://ipostatus.kfintech.com/.

2) Under ‘Select IPO’, select ‘Shiprocket Ltd’ from the drop box.

3) Enter your application number, demat account, or permanent account number (PAN).

5) Then, click on the ‘Submit’ button.

Your share application status will appear on your screen.

Via the BSE

1) Go to the official BSE website via the URL — https://www.bseindia.com/investors/appli_check.aspx.

2) Under ‘Issue Type’, select ‘Equity’.

3) Under ‘Issue Name’, select ‘Shiprocket Limited’ in the drop box.

4) Enter your application number, or the Permanent Account Number (PAN). Those who want to check their allotment status via PAN can select the ‘Permanent Account Number’ option.

5) Then, click on the ‘I am not a robot’ to verify yourself and hit the ‘Search’ option.

Shiprocket IPO GMP Today

According to market observers, Shiprocket’s unlisted shares were commanding a grey market premium (GMP) of around Rs 129 per share on Tuesday.

Based on the upper price band of Rs 97, the GMP indicates a potential listing price of around Rs 32 per share, which is a 32.99% listing gain. However, investors should note that the grey market is unofficial and GMP keeps changing based on investor sentiments.

The issue comprises a fresh issuance of equity shares worth up to Rs 885.50 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of shares aggregating up to Rs 732 crore. Existing shareholders, including Lightrock, Tribe Capital, Moore Strategic Ventures, Agility International Investment, Gautam Kapoor, Saahil Goel and Vishesh Khurana, will sell shares through the OFS.

The company plans to use proceeds from the fresh issue to invest in marketing initiatives and strengthen technology infrastructure across its core and emerging businesses. Funds will also be used to repay or prepay certain borrowings, pursue potential acquisitions and meet general corporate purposes.

At the upper end of the price band, the company will have a post-issue market valuation of around Rs 7,058 crore.

Backed by Temasek and Zomato, Shiprocket has evolved from a shipping service provider into a full-stack e-commerce enablement platform serving direct-to-consumer brands and micro, small and medium enterprises.

The company operates across two segments – Core Business and Emerging Business. Its core business includes domestic shipping and shipping applications, while its emerging businesses comprise cargo and fulfilment, cross-border shipping, advertising and marketing solutions, capital solutions and hyperlocal deliveries.
